REPORTS TO: Director of IT
LOCATION: West Palm Beach, Florida
ROLE CAPACITY: 100% Technical. Travel to client sites as needed.

A growing, fast-paced West Palm Beach, FL-based IT Management Company is seeking a dynamic IT Specialist who will work closely with our Managed Services team to support clients and data center infrastructure. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of business experience in the IT industry.

We are a Microsoft partner, using 80% Microsoft products including Exchange, AD, Windows Servers and workstations, IIS, SQL Server 2008/2012/2016 R2 and SharePoint. We also work with Apple technologies, VMWare, VEEAM and various mobile devices. We manage our clients’ networks using remote management tools.

Tactical Work and Responsibilities: 

The IT Specialist is expected to provide services with a high level of competency and independence, demonstrating experience and ability in multiple disciplines within the field. The right candidate must be comfortable working with data centers, clients, internal networks and development teams. The right candidate must also be detail oriented, and must enjoy technology, learning, and business strategy.

The IT Specialist will be responsible for handling support tickets, and the position requires strong technical skills in the following areas:

Windows 7 through 10, Active Directory including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Smart phones such as Android and iPhones, network printers, wireless access points, Microsoft Office Suite 2010 and up, Windows Server 2008/2012 R2 and up, Microsoft Exchange 2007 and up, Exchange Online (Office 365), Firewalls, Site-to-site and Remote Access VPN, Switches, Backup Technologies (Datto, StorageCraft, Veeam, etc.), SQL Server Basic Management (backups, maintenance job setup, etc.), VMware vSphere (single host deployments at minimum).

The Most Important Results to Achieve Success:

The candidate must possess excellent customer service, planning, problem-solving, goal setting, quality and time management skills. Undergraduate degree from a four-year college preferred. At least two years of relevant work experience with a track record of help desk and networking support. Understanding of hardware and software (PC’s, laptops, smartphones, tablets, printers, general office equipment, Microsoft Office, Current Windows Desktop and Server OS, etc). Ability to troubleshoot client issues while remaining calm and managing time lines. Networking or Microsoft Server related certification is a plus. Previous MSP or consulting experience is desired.
